Get ready to explore! ResEd Training will take part in a day long retreat at Tanque Verde Ranch! This retreat will be spent in in space crews t complete a variety of explorations! The mission is centered around effective team work and communication. Below we have included all the things you need to know to prepare and be ready for the retreat.

Bring positive and fun energy - this is a time to have fun and little competition amongst each other
Participate to your ability / challenge by choice! Not feeling like an exploration is your skillset, sit it out, take break!
Follow instructions during the retreat and be a team player! Mission control will share a lot of instructions throughout the day, make sure to pay attention and be ready for exploration.
Do not use technology other than to take pictures of your crew! This is a day of in person engagement and work laptops should only be used in an emergency or on call capacity.
The retreat will be mildly active and partly outside - dress accordingly! You can wear sportswear or athletic clothing! Please wear tennis shoes or be comfortable taking your shoes off outside to be able to move around easily!
Be on time, due to the heat and amount of things to cover in the morning, we willl be starting on time and sticking to a strict schedule to avoid the afternoon sun!
Have Fun! No one likes a party pooper, if you need to let out some negative energy, get some space and do so!
Crews cannot forget their flags – your flag must always be with your crew.
Explorations will be challenged by choice, if you are not able to participate in the specific exploration, please let a member from mission control know!
Throughout each exploration, crews will be able to earn Star Points, Nova Points, and some other hidden gems. At the end of the retreat, the crew with the most points overall wins. It’s that simple, however, just like space exploration, the star system is very complex. We will explain more at the Retreat!
To start an exploration, all crew members must be present [to their ability] [i.e. cannot send a crew member to find asteroids or anything]
Throughout the retreat, we will have two blocks of exploration. Each exploration will be spent within Space Crews. Space crews are teams of ResEd members that will work as a crew to complete an exploration. Space Crews will be revealed once you land at the ranch.
Exploration 1 will be in the morning from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Part of this exploration will be outside. Exploration 1 will have 4 different missions to complete with your crew. We are mindful of the heat, and will have water and shaded areas available during Exploration 1. Exploration is active and will have crew members completing walking relays, guided relays, and some practice with the scientific method.
Exploration 2 will be in the afternoon from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Exploration 2 will be all inside and with your crew. Exploration 2 will require a lot of discussion and critical thinking.
Gratitude is important. From being grateful for yourself to others, it's something that should always be happening. The Retreat will kick off the gratitude boxes. These boxes will be labeled with ResEd staff. Throughout the retreat and the rest of training, staff should write notes and drop them in the boxes. The boxes will not be opened until the closing of training. After the retreat, the boxes will be available in all ENR2 Sessions.
