Overview of cochise
Cochise dorm has high ceilings and a lobby centered around a large stone fireplace. The four-story community is home to 164 residents and contains mostly double rooms with two layouts: two double rooms sharing a large common space between them (known as an "adjoined double") or stand-alone double rooms. An outdoor basketball court is available to residents. The dorm is also known for its appearance in the 1984 cult-movie classic "Revenge of the Nerds." Cochise was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Cocochava
Cochise and Yavapai have for years hosted a program called "COCHAVA", a word play off not only the names of the buildings but also inspired by the Coachella music festival. Last year in hopes of further campus collaboration we expanded the program to include Coconino dorm and thus "COCOCHAVA" was born. A mix of music festival and carnival where students can come out and enjoy a wide range of activities and food trucks (who doesn't love food trucks).
The event aims to educate residents how to safely attend concerts and music festivals as well as alcohol awareness.
